Re: Another Day In Paradise

hampton1234  Funny. No, I didn't get out this weekend. I had too may chores around the house to do. I'm trying to get everything done before the cold hits. I was talking to someone from Yorktown last week and they've had luck at the JRB on an incoming tide. Let's hope the cold comes in gra...

Re: Another Day In Paradise

That it was Paul. I was able to get out for a little both Saturday and Sunday. Now if the stripers would show up. I heard of some action at the JRB. Sorry gitchisum. I don't think I could handle that kind of weather for an extended period of time. I'd go crazy. This nice weather we are having is pro...

Re: F26 top speed problem

May want to check the timing. Make sure it's advancing like it should.

Also make sure your trim tabs are working.

Re: Prop Puller

I use a large clamp from lowes or HD to remove mine. I removed the swivel at the end of the threaded screw of the clamp, what's left if is a ball that seats nicely in the end of the shaft. Leaving the nut on the shaft as larry mentioned to catch the prop, I then clamp the back side of the prop hub a...

Re: 8 hr road trip

The port on the bottom should match the size of the corresponding port on the top as they share the same impeller.

I'm headed down to the Cobbs tonight after work if you want me to take a look at it.

Re: 8 hr road trip

Do a google search for Sherwood D55 or D60. Careful though, the port sizes are different between the two. If you have the old one you can rebuild it for a lot cheaper than ordering a new one.

I'm out of the water at Cobb's now. Hope to be back in the water in a week though.

Re: Finally out of the water - Trim Cylinder Shear Pins

I wanted to replace the Shaft Log hose as well while I'm out of the water. Had to remove the shaft log, strut, and shaft in order to get everything out. Good thing I did. The old one had a crack in it. Yikes, that would have been bad news. I also went ahead a replaced the cutlass bearing since I had...

Finally out of the water - Trim Cylinder Shear Pins

Well, she's out. The 4 things that I originally wanted to do to her while on the hard have turned into about 12. A few things revealed themselves that need attention once I had a chance do a once over. Anyone have problems with the Trim Cylinder shear pins deflecting or breaking? See photo below. I ...

Re: F-26 Wet Exhaust Upgrade

Looks like it's time to remove the engine and repaint the bilge. Look at that nasty water in the bottom. Paul, how could you let this happen?

Kidding, jealous and amazed at your boat and work.
