To 7421f - When my 1985 11 Meter Sedan kicks on the compressor even though the switch is set to fan I have to replace a solid state relay in the compressor's control box. I don't have the specs here with me, but it is a 240 volt relay about 1 1/2" x 1 1/2" x 1/2" in size. This seems t...

On my 1985 11 Meter Sedan those stairs are held in place by one screw. You remove that screw and the entire stairs pull away (revealing the hot water heater). Then you have ready access to the back of the stairs and the wiring of those lights. I can't remember if the lights are mounted from the back...

My 11 meter sedan lists like Koviak describes. I've always assumed it was because Trojan put the two A/C compressors, the wet bar, the lower helm station and 90% of the boat's wiring on the starboard side. All tankage is down the center so the only thing to counteract the stbd weight is the galley a...

Hey to Joey Z

Hi Joey. I remember you buzzing around in the harbor as a little kid.

I appreciate the shout out, and we'll see you on the water somewhere. We're in Port Duncan now if you're out wandering.

Prowlersfish- The boat came with a 312" ford (2 side draft 1 bbl carbs). In the late 50's there were a couple of Chris Craft models that could out-run it, so my Father changed it out to a 1967 425" high compression Olds engine with a quadrajet. That's what we are still running today, altho...

Thank you guys, you're too kind. Name is Darrell Gentry, Heiner. We live in Kansas but have a house and covered dock on Grand Lake in Oklahoma (about 1600 miles of shoreline) As old age set in, my Father had to sell his 54 Bertram in St Pete and bought this Trojan. He and I got to run it together fo...

I do all my own work (except bottom jobs) but I've always just muddled through in the past. Didn't occur to me that there might be more of us out in the world. The boat has the original 454's and a newer Westerbeke 12.5 KW genset. About 1500 hours on the 454's. Roughly 2500 on the Westerbeke After i...

New 11 Meter guy here

Hi guys, I don't know why it took 20 years but I stumbled across this forum recently. (And, Bob, I've put a check in the mail) There is some fascinating information in here. We've had our 1985 11 Meter Sedan on an Oklahoma lake since 1988. No problems to address at the moment, but I was struck (and ...
