F36 stringer repair
Hi everybody. I could use some of your knowledge & expertise, please. The subject is a 1972 Trojan F36, love these boats, & that's likely why i have the boat i do. I am in the middle of a stringer repair, of which some parts to me are a bit mysterious. The stringer i'm working on, is the ins...

Re: Onan generator-Free
Good morning, sure, give it a try. Includes the Aqua Muff muffler, forgot that. Wonder what it would cost to have shipped, most likely by truck. It's so complete, just hate to scrap it. I guess you are somewhere near Norfolk, or Hampton? incidentally, are you the guy I chatted with about having been...

Onan generator-Free
Hi folks, I have removed my 1972 Onan genset because of some rotted stringer repair i have going on. The gen is complete as far as I know, turns freely by hand, & has clean oil in it. For the boating we do, we dont need 6500 watts of power, so if anyone is interested in the unit, please write me...

Re: Twin engine, dual battery hookup on F 36
Hi guys, thanks for the mail. The picture of your boat in the travel lift is perfect! Pretty much what I'd have guessed, but always nice to get it straight. I appreciate it. Have a good nite, Dave

Re: Twin engine, dual battery hookup on F 36
Good morning Captain, thanks for your answer. I'm leaning toward keeping it simple, & leaving mine setup as I mentioned. Years back I had a 1967 36' Trojan, with the emergency start system setup, but don't honestly remember ever using it. As for the alternator/charging issue, I will use a meter ...

Twin engine, dual battery hookup on F 36
Hi there all you Trojan guys, & gals. It's been a while, but since chatting I have finished the valve jobs on both 440's, they're running well. Today's issue is that I don't understand how the solenoid & cables should be connected to have the starboard battery used as the start battery, &...

Re: overheating 440.
Good morning everyone, I sent a couple of messages lately, but not sure where they went! Anyway, the inspection of the double pocket water pump netted a near miracle!! When i had rebuilt both pumps before launch this spring, I inadverntly installed 2 of the small impellers, rather than the larger on...

Re: overheating 440.
Hi everybody, Please don't yell at me, you may want to laugh, or guffaw though. Long story short, with nothing else to try to solve this overheating problem, I pulled the pump off again. Remember, I rebuilt both pumps before launch in June, so thought they were fine. well, when I opened it up, I was...

Re: overheating 440.
Good morning Prowlerfish, this trip south was 2004, but as I recall we went in off the Bay & hung an immediate left to take us south past what I think may have been condos, seems like at the end of that stretch was the marina. I recall having dinner at the little restaurant there, on the 2nd sto...

Re: overheating 440.
Hey guys, I just noticed where y'all are from, my son was living in Williamsburg up until recently, now up at Gloucester Courthouse. I took another boat south in 2004, stayed at a neat marina in Hampton. Just a little background info. Have a good day.

Re: overheating 440.
Prowlerfish & waytogo, thanks for hanging in with me. This morning, I went back to the scene of the crime. I decided last night to use 2 garden hoses from the dockside water & connect each one to the discharge hoses from the pump, therefore, obviously, eliminating the pump. Now of course the...
