Re: Weather

Its cold as a well diggers a$$ crack in the yukon here also. I still have some open water in front of my place due to the wind, but if it dies down, its gonna freeze up solid. The salmon are feeding, but you'd have to be one sik effer to go out in this to try to land one. The longer term forecast is...

Re: Mast Light

I'm using the factory set-up. It works well enough that I'm not gonna mess with it.

I'm sure someone here has a pic of one if you are unsure what they look like.

Re: Rebording ladder

We had one like the ladder Jamie posted on the '77 F-32 that was around when I was a kid. The problem with it was that for boarding the platform from the water only a small amout of the fold down section actually reached the lake. I think the style scott posted on his Silverton probably does a bit b...

Re: Is it sping yet?

We've been in the ice box up here lately too. It was minus 26 Friday night. The lake has begun to freeze up. looks like next week is meant to warm up though.

Re: Black Water Holding Tank

I think I'd only like it better if it had stock Merc valve covers. I like the nod to Chevy, but you can get a Chavelle to put those on. Good guess on the engine, the block is actually a 350 from a '69 Chevelle. Tough casting. HOGWASH!!!! Its a Merc! :D (or it is now, and I mean that in the nicest w...

Re: Black Water Holding Tank

Not sure, but I may have noticed a spec of dirt in that engine room ...... then again I dunno about that, but that sure is one pretty Merc 228. The lustre of the black paint is just breathtaking. Re: What color to paint your boat ?

Painting your hull Paul? I like Alexseal, but there are other comparable products. Have you come to an opinion about color yet? I like that flag blue on landv's boat. Black might be ok, or a dark green. Maybe you could get Jeff to help you paint it. From what I understand he is an expert painter. Do...

Re: 12V Lithium Ion Batteries

I agree there maybe some problems if your killing AGM batteries in 2 years . I get over 2x that on wet cell lead acid batteries. +1. Thats way too soon to be replacing batteries. My wet cells are going on 3 years old on the house bank, and the Stbd. is the one Nancy put in there in '09. Must be a c...

Re: Any Thoughts On Painting/Dying Headliner?

Is the headliner a vinyl or fabric? If it is vinyl, you can paint it. I did the headliner in one of the staterooms in a 46' MY that I used to own. I used spray can paint that was made for car upholstery. It looked good and it did not fill in the ventilation holes. I did a lot of spray painting insi...

Re: Removing the lower helm from an f32

Very true it is a selling point .Every one wants a lower helm till they have one  Except for me, who would never by an F series without one, as I rarely get on the bridge unless its dark out or I have guests on board. Part of that is due to the fact that I keep the covers on the bridge helm s...
