15 Meter Trojan International

Post by llemartz16z06 »

I worked at Trojan Yacht for several years in there sales department. We built one 15M boat at the Harry Schoell facility in Fort Lauderdale. We were going to introduce the boat at the Miami International boat show that winter but due to upper management turmoil it was squelched.
The boat was 95 percent complete and that fall we took it to Ocean Reef for a Dealer/Owners trip. She was a really good boat, and performed extremely well.
She stayed in Lauderdale and was put up for sale and finally sold to someone in South Florida almost a year later.
As time went on the turmoil at BTI became overwhelming and Don Seith was terminated as our President. We never again heard anything about the 15 meter project.
My question is has anyone seen or heard about her.

Agreed...I'm not a fan of the aesthetics at all.

Would have loved to see what a Sedan version of it would have looked like though.

What a rocket.

Checked out a 13 meter for sale in Toronto on Lake Ontario a few years back. It had a factory hardtop which I believe was very rare. Don't know where it went.

Salesman said the hardtop was appreciated by clients who ran offshore because it protected the cockpit from ocean spray.

It was apparently owned by a building contractor according to the salesman. It was on the hard and was BIG. Didn't care for the interior that much but THAT HULL! Wow

So, can't imagine it at 15 meters but would love to see more photos.

Wow, very cool! I'm a big fan of the Trojan International line and only recently learned about this one-off boat. Do you recall how much it sold for? Also, are you aware of any brochures still in existence for the late 80s models, especially when the 12 meter express came out?
