Curtains vs. Blinds

Post by RWS »

The 36 year old curtains in my 10 Meter Express are toast.

The colors don't go with the new interior and the look is, well, a bit dated.

There are 5 portlights, none of which are 100% vertical.

I would appreciate good feedback from anyone with any experience in dealing with new curtains or blinds.

BEST !

Sorry for the late response -- been on vacation and then helping a friend move his new boat across the Erie Canal.

We have Bali plastic mini blinds from Home Depot. They replaced some older, mismatched miniblinds that came with the boat. I removed all the old hardware and reinstalled from scratch including the keepers at the bottom of the windows. After a year, we are still pleased with them. When underway, they can be left down and tilted to let the light in or pulled up completely. The ones we selected are white and brighten up the interior.

I measured each set of blinds independently and had them custom cut while I waited at the store.

I ordered a set of cellular shades

Hopefully they will get the job done

Those 36 year old disco era pinkish curtains just had to go :)
