Crusader 454 risers

Post by Liberty »

Time to winterize my 1985 10 meter sedan. Crusader 454 FWC engines. After boat was hauled, sucked water from port side exhaust. I found a lot of particulate debris, put a magnet to it, sure enough it’s metallic. Starboard is fine. Thinking that I should replace the risers, but wondering if I can get another season out of them. Just bought the boat this year, not sure when or if replaced. Thoughts?

I wouldn’t press it. You could wind up doing a top end rebuild instead and, not on YOUR schedule.
