Yeh shes been on the selling block for quite some time now. In todays market I think the owner would be lucky to get 40k for her. All that wood, all that work. When you can get similar in glass for similar money the wood is a major drawback to selling. Gorgeous boat though.

Heres a bank repo at less than a third the price.

If its wood then its not a F47 ( don't think they make a F47 anyway )

Still a sweet looking boat .

Well I always thought the "F" stood for fiberglass.

Hello Everyone, we are very interested in this boat. Currently have a 1974 36" Tri Cabin which we love, but have been talking about liveaboards for awhile now, and this boat may suit us.

I'm confused, though. I too don't think it's 47, looks much bigger. And I'm not sure it's wood, although I can't see how the broker could make such a mistake? The poster above me stated that it is fiberglass.

Does anyone know what this boat is for sure??

I can email the broker, but wanted your opinions first. If it's glass, it's not a bad deal at the listed price, for such a beauty.

I don't see ANY other wood 47's from '73 listed anywhere, and can't find any info. I'm not convinced....

Opinions?

Nothing like a wood boat but you can't be slack at all on taking care of them for sure

i've had a chance to study the pics on yachtworld today between trips and the hull is indeed wood. if you look at some of the close ups, you will see slight outlines of wood planks under the white hull paint. also, the chine is typical trojan wood hull chine. the transom is a dead giveaway. varnished mahogany to be sure.
yep, fiberglass superstructure, wood decks (teak over marine ply), mahogany toe rails, hull is probably oak. she is a beauty though.
