Just sent my slip payment in.
I just mailed my slip payment in for the year. The weather has been in the 50's the last couple of weeks and I was looking for an early spring. I woke up today with snow and temps in the teens. Looking for a good boating season with the lack of snow north of St. Louis.

Well, since you brought it up...what's everyone paying for yearly slip fees?
Mine in a covered slip is 3,875.00
45' X 17.5' fixed slip. Our yacht club is not associated with any marina costs, totally separate...

On the Tennessee River
I pay $3,575/yr for a 54' covered slip which is 18' wide x 20' high includes WiFi, water and pumpout at the slip. Electricity is metered.
In Canada's prime boating area I paid for a 32' boat:
Covered winter storage $2,212 Can
Open Summer slip $1,637 Can electricity extra $175.
Those prices include launch, haul and blocking.
Who said things are cheaper in Canada If the Trojan was 43' I would pay another $1,434 for the year.

Some clubs I know require you to spend a minimum amount at the restaurant.

We are a self help club, each member is required to donate 20 hours to the maintenance and upkeep of the club. Many members make up their time during haul-out and launch, or they can be charged $50/hr. for not fulfilling that part of the agreement.

Equivalent to another $1,000 for those who don't want to spend the time..... So true costs are not much different to my Trojan costs ($3,850 vs $3,500).... I prefer to be on Georgian Bay even though I don't get to be on the boat on weekday evenings just yetTorcan wrote:We are a self help club, each member is required to donate 20 hours to the maintenance and upkeep of the club. About 5 grand a year in taxes to the town and county. $37.50 to the Park Commission for my pier permit (64' long), and $235 to the same agency for my boat permit. It comes with an acre of land and a 3500 sq. ft. house tho.
