5.7 GM repower in '77 F30

'89 model mercruisers and trans removed.
Considering new Crusaders - carburetor Classic Series
since HP would be higher (315hp) looking at new 1:1 72C trans and staying with the same props - Supercup 976 14x11, we just like a slow cruise, but power if weather requires. I know the F30 setup limits prop diameter, but the boat did well when I changed from the original MIE233s (2 bbl carbs) over to the '89 GM mercruisers using the same 71C 1:1 trans and the same props.
