Not me...but did make a mad dash to homeport last Thursday. Waves 2 to 3, 3 seconds a part with 4 foot sets on average every 4 mins. In a north by north east wind at 15 knots. ...and the wife loved the new tabs and the platform didn't drag any at all. Michelle piloted the whole trip except the marina channels.

I brought home a Nautique today. Something to park next to the Trojan.

Its an interesting thing to put an engine that big in a boat that small. It does about 30 MPH at 2800.

Probably save an hour on town runs and some gas too when I'm on extended trips with the Trojan. I'm going to have to make myself a towing rig.

So far I only have one Tony. I took it when I brought it home today while I was tinkering and dewinterizing it in the driveway. I'll get some more in the coming days.

Runs good. For a Ford. Has a Holley on it and a Mallory points jobbie like my SBC's. (Not for long on the Chevys, 2 new YLM's and wires came today. Pics of that job next week.)

Ugly POS tower is gonna go. Very soon. Like, as soon as it gets light outside again.

Anyone want a wakeboard tower for their Trojan? It would fit nice on a hardtop 25 or 26.

Looks fun for just getting out and cutting holes in the water.

Definately. She goes about 50 MPH on old gas and no tune up yet. Swings a 12x12 four blade on a 1:1 Velvet Drive. Torque for days. I bet it would spin a nice 14x10 F-25 prop too.

No takers on tower for their Trojan yet??!! Dog House? Ontario Paul? C'mon guys. I wanna see someone wakeboarding off their Trojan this summer. Otherwise I'm gonna sneak down to Virginia and bolt it up to Prowlersfish's hardtop. Don't let him fool you. Hes BIG into wakeboarding.

Got out on Sturgeon Lake yesterday for the first time this year. Had to wait for the fuel pumps to open up for the season. I managed to get her out of her slip, over to the fuel pumps for $500 worth of go juice and then headed out on the lake to check power setting. The locks don't open until Friday so I pretty much had the lake to myself. This is our first "big" boat so I wanted to get a feel for her. All went really well and I managed to back her into her slip single-handed. No crew with me on this tour...had a blast! It's a lot like flying...small control inputs and easy on the power. I suppose the main difference is that when you fly, the ground doesn't move the way a current does :D
I'm curious about my results so I'd like to hear from other tricabin drivers...I'm getting 5 miles/hr at idle (800 rpm) 8.5 at 1200 rpm 10 at 1500 rpm and 18-20 at 2000 rpm. This is about half a load of fuel and into a moderate headwind. Sorry about the MPH figures, but most my GPS/Moving Map stuff is calibrated for flying.

We went out today and check our new radar and autopilot out. They are working great, now we just have to learn all the quirks in using it. We did have a problem. One engine would not start. It was the start switch. I believe finding a replacement might be quite a challenge. No one seems to have it..
The weather was great and the water not bad at all. Looks like the boat will be going to Cape Charles next weekend. Can't wait to get out fishing.
