Yup. Snow. It was on the national news, so some of you probably heard about it.

It wasn't as bad here as the 3 feet they got in Lake Placid over the weekend, but Sunday morning found me putting on my gloves and snow pants to go shovel out the cockpit on the Trojan, and shove 8 or 9 inches of heavy wet snow off her decks into the lake. Getting it out of the Nautique was a little harder because its so small and the engine box is in the middle of it all.

They are calling it the Memorial Day Blizzard. Now I'm ready for the June 1st heatwave!

Ha! Now we're getting closer to even. Lovely Memorial Day weekend in Oklahoma. OK, the wind was gusting to 40 on Monday but the sun was out and the temps were in the 80's.
However, I'm sorry you had to put up with that. Nobody should have to at the end of May

25 is 82 here. 38 is just..... well.... HOT! Like 107. Thats Vegas heat. Death Valley even..... No thanks. I'd friggin spontaneously combust in that heat. I'll hang out here instead and keep my shovels handy. :D

Gonna go test my new bridle today and bring the Nautique up lake with me today. I'll post pics later.

now you KNOW better than to call it that. it is climate change. rapid and unexpected swings in winds, temperatures and a reversal of normal rain patterns as well as swings in the upper level jetstream. we have had one of the most unusual springs here in the baltimore area on record. saturday it was around 50, winds gusting to 35mph and just plain nasty. sunday moderated a bit and a thunderstorm rounded out monday. yesterday, wed, the temp rocketed to over 95. more of the same for the next few days.

So..... It was global warming, but that didn't work out, so now its climate change. Whats next? Moody jetstream periods with unpredictable weather? Um,its all just weather.

What i was miffed about was slush on the decks. Its was like the north wind had a bad bit of sushi and let loose all over.

You can call it global whatever, I just think it was annoying.
