Water temp gauge issue

Post by larryeddington »

Solved a water temp gauge issue after installing new engines. I had used teflon tap on the threads of the temperature sending unit and as I suspected it had insulated it from the manifold electrically. I temporarily jumpered from the sending unit base to a ground and like magic the gauges now read 140 degree as supposed. Now I have to take the sender out and clean the threads, as they are pipe threads just going to put them in bare and bet I get a connection and I do not think it will leak. :D
