Holding tank monitor

Post by rbcool »

After my once a year "Holding tank Overflow", always caused by guests using WAY too much water to flush, I decided to finally install a tank monitor. Hearing lots of bad stories about mechanical float arms getting jammed I did a lot of research and found what I think is perfect..... US Marine Ultimate Water Tank Kit
It's Ultrasonic, which means no moving parts! Installation wasn't too bad.
In my galley, which is right above the holding tank, there is a 12v light switch that controls the small safety light on the steps down to FWD cabin. I mounted the wiring to that switch so that when we want to know the tank level we just flip it on. Works Great!!

When you can't make them see the light, make them feel the heat.
