Led Bulb For Spotlight

Post by Lean Wolf »

I have a 1979, F 44 and the spotlight is old and and dim. Is anyone aware of an LED bulb that could replace the old bulb that is in there?. If so, it's easy to install?

What brand is it?

Does it look like my spot light in my id picture?

So we are talking about an old school light bulb as the filament and glass dome are all one unit.

As far as I know they do not make LED replacements but a new bulb can be acquired as well as internal spot light parts. My spot I think was 7 inches and the bulb cost $100. They no longer make spot / flood bulb just the spot.

$100 aint bad considering a replacement unit starts around a grand. FYI my old bulb lasted 35 years!

You might have some corrosion in the wiring that is affecting the brightness of your bulb. Can you check the voltage at the bulb?
