New guy 1979 F28

Post by TexasTrojanF28 »

Hi everyone.

As you may have guessed from my name and subject , I'm a new Trojan owner in Texas. My F28 is outside Ft. Worth right now and I'm in the learning / fixing stage.

Currently projects are resolving a fuel delivery issue , new bilge
Pumps fore and aft, Raymarine WiFish, engine room blower, and purging the fresh water system because it spurts out brown stuff instead of clear stuff.

Anyhoo, just wanted to say hi and that I'm glad to have found this resource. :)

Welcome fellow Texan. I currently have a 77F28 parts boat, operational 78 F28 boat on Texoma, I have a lot of information and do and donts regarding the F28s and am close by.

Great to meet you Larry, really appreciate the offer for info and will be taking you up on it for sure. The F28 info doesn't seem as plentiful as for the F32 but looks like a lot of the same information applies to both.

Thanks again.

Thanks Dave!

I got both engines running last night! I had to bypass the fuel tank/water sep and install a new fuel pump.

So far I've added a new bilge pump , some ignition components , fuel pump and that's about it.

Looking forward to hitting the lake. It's my first time driving a twin engine anything so should be interesting.

Thanks Dustin. I'm heading to the lake today ( almost 80 degrees ) to practice dock/undock and line work with my teenager. :)
