this is just up the lake from my marina... the boat "got away from them"? wtf?

HARRISON BAY, HAMILTON COUNTY, TN (WRCB) It was a close call for a group of boaters on Harrison Bay over the weekend.

Five people were pulled from the water Saturday afternoon.

Dispatchers tell us the group's boat got away from them and they were stranded in the water.

Hamilton County rescue personnel responded and pulled all five to safety.

A spokesperson for the sheriff's office says there were no injuries, but the weather made the rescue difficult.

So was alcohol involved when the boat got "away" from them? Weird story.

i asked about this just the other day, actually. found out i was speaking to someone who was there when it happened. apparently, some booze was involved with some of them, but not all had been drinking.

shame, really. as since some had NOT been drinking, it just proves my point that they were indeed morons.
