And Right to work, Also means right to Fire...

the RR and Airlines are Fed protected folks, I know about the Airline thing cause UPS and the Teamsters sued FedEX Express over it due to Express being Air and not Union

In short Unions SUCK ! They're doing alot for the Miners right now aren't they....

Unions were good 80 years ago when workers needed a way to establish workers rights. Things like overtime, safety in the work enviornment, child labor, etc. All that stuff is obsolete now because of labor laws. Now they are just vampires.

No Pennies! They stopped making them and are now taking them out of circulation. More expensive to produce than it's worth I guess. Retailers are rounding off the prices. Somehow, I don't think they are going to take the hit for it though, the consumer will in the end. Still trying to determine how I feel about the whole thing.

Where do you want me to start ? LOL Many places are fine ( most) but not all employers are that great and don't treat employees that well . I know they can quit and go elsewhere , but some times it not a easy option . I am not pro union believe me , but some times workers need a voice . There are still sweat shops around among other issues .

Yeah hes a nutter for sure Paul. This is what happens when you have a bunch of money and use it to make yourself a politician. He is basically enforcing his personal beliefs on the public in NYC in the form of legislation. Likely he won't be re-elected as a result. Hopefully NYC's next mayor will be able to unravel some of the insanity.

On the up side. Delivery people should get better tips based on higher prices. On the really bad end of it, lots and lots more containers will be thrown away.

Here in the US ? Unions have out lived there time. And yes some employers are a p.i.t.a. but the employee or employees as a whole do have a say. If a employer has a high turn over rate of skilled labor they'll change.

Was not referring to skilled labor .So turn over is not relevant . Lot of stuff goes on people ignore even under the big gulp kings nose . Loop holes are all over the place in labor laws . In a perfect world employees may have a say , but its not a perfect world so some do not. sometimes a big stick is need to keep things in check . Key word is "sometimes" not most the time .Different situations call for different solutions . there is no fit all answer , thats all I have to say .

Hello everyone. Sorry for my long absence. Been a long year. Just bought a house and became landlords in one fell swoop. Sadly, i now need to part with my Trojan. I was thinking of parting it out but i dont know if i should. My pet peeve, is repeating instructions to someone....... 20 mins after the 1st time they were given! Stupidity should be painful (well it is to those who have to endure it) :)
