I am splashing April 6th - earliest ever. They don't turn the power and water on until April 15th.
Wish I could be in all year, and could have this year since there was never ice in the harbor, but no way to know that in October.

You year 'round guys really like to rub it in don't ya? Well if I was able to be in all year I probably would too. I am just thankful my marina opens on April 1st - some don't open till May 1st.

Well you could all move to the promised land in the South, on the other han don't do anything drastic.

April 23 I splash... and as much as I hate losing half the year up here, I am not sure I would really be happier destroying the boat with the sun and salt down south.
If I had enough money that boat was disposable (reference : the $640M Lottery thread) I would be willing to test the concept and report back!! But otherwise choose to protect what I have got.

Well if you keep it for 30 yrs you only get to use it for 15, whereas we can wear it out
