Good one!

I think you may have taken that wrong . Bush has been gone yet some how he still gets some blame . Bush was was too libral in many cases . But as many faults as he had We where much better off back then .

Want to make people more responsible ? start with major welfare reform . Then food stamp reform . One of the top food stamp people was on NPR a while back . He stated their goal is to get more people on food stamps . Making people more Dependant is a goal ?? Where do you think we are headed ?

I was referring to Pontifications. That was a brilliant collection of voters in the video.

I hear the food stamps argument, and I am with you. My governor, who, let it be known that I did not vote for, recently granted in-state college tuition rates to illegal aliens. Really? And why do I get bilingual emails from my kids school? Shouldn't government business be conducted in the same language as the Constitution and other founding documents?

FYI, I think my analysis of the paying people covering the cost of non-paying people is valid for any business where the store does not hold people's property for collateral. I have also received private support of my call to keep the forum civil, but for some reason the PMers chose not to reply in public. Speaking of reply, I thought Alexander38 would have chimed back in. I sent him a PM indicating that I had replied to the post so he'd know. In it I said that it felt good to be missed!

Having been to this thread multiple times and seen no response from Alexander38 in the last week, in spite of my personal notification that I responded to his call out, I am officially not monitoring this thread any more. OK -- maybe when I have time later, just for fun. Point is, I'm here, involved in the (more useful) forum of Trojan Boats, and am not a "hit and run". I can just see more than one side of many issues, and have more to do than immediately respond to every thread. Thanks Mr.Cruz -- the venison was AWESOME! I appreciate the paid time off. I had to stop hunting because my freezers were full, so I started donating venison to the food bank. Can't wait until the next election!!!! Gansler/O'Malley/Clinton/Holder/Biden 2016!!!!! Or not.

P.S. Hopey changey is working out for me just fine.

What PM? Never got it maybe the NSA sucked it up? I'm glad you enjoyed your paid vacation at my expense you're welcome. I've not responded to the post for one main reason. I'm so sick of pointing out how since 9/11 both parties have done nothing short of taking us on a road to hell. So enjoy your self on government money that is taken from the producing class of this once great nation. But please don't be surprised when the dogs that you socialist loving folks kick every day, one day turns on you and bites your ass....it'll happen! That's all folks.

The news that Target is no longer offering health insurance to part time workers cannot be a good thing for those folks. Home Depot and Trader Joe's recently did the same thing indicating that they can no longer afford to offer this benefit. It is becoming clear that this is the type of fallout that occurs with legislation that "needs to be signed so that you can find out what is in it". I have a hard time deciding if that statement is more outrageous than "If you like your health insurance, you can keep your health insurance". What good is an "affordable" healthcare act that is eliminating health insurance for many low income earners? I think most would agree that everyone was better off when Target could afford to subsidize health insurance for their part time workers. Now that Target cannot afford it, someone else is going to pick up the slack and it will likely be the guy who just lost his insurance along with everyone who pays taxes. Does anyone believe that the folks from Target who just lost their insurance will have better and more affordable insurance as a result of getting put into the exchanges?
