The shooting of unarmed Michael Brown

Post by P-Dogg »

I'm good with that. Why all the fuss? He physically attacked a cop, and got what he deserved. Doesn't everyone know that cops carry guns (except for Japan and the UK, where only criminals really do have guns -- because law-abiding citizens can't)? Did he expect to punch Officer Wilson in the face and get away with it, like he did with the robbery that he committed 20 minutes before he was confronted by Wilson for jaywalking? Why are people upset with Darren Wilson? Based upon what I know now, I would have done the same thing. Kudos to Officer Wilson. Too bad the store that the decedent robbed was subsequently looted by thugs too. Don't rebuild Ferguson -- let those people live in the mess that they created. But I digress....

The problem is the news media , when first happen did you hear that Brown had committed strong armed robbery ? Honestly I believe Eric Holder , Al Sharpton and a host of others should be charge with inciting a riot . And Holder is still looking into fed charges . This whole think is sad from every direction .

I was aware of the robbery, and that Brown assaulted the LEO. What I want to know is, where were the images of the injuries to the cop before now? I knew that he was hit, but I didn't see the pictures reported anywhere. If it had been more widely publicized that Brown landed punches on the cop, people might be more understanding of the response. And yes, it is indeed a sad situation all-around.

Sadly, I don't agree. No matter the circumstances, it seems there will always be those that insist it's a black vs white issue. Perhaps the answer is to ensure from the beginning that there is no room to assert blame on the decision makers for the outcome of such hearings. Like how about in such circumstances, ensuring that there is an equal representation of both black and white members on the jury. Then people wouldn't have one of the arguments they have now. Also, why would you make such an announcement of the findings with hundreds of people outside waiting, and at night when it's likely that faces can't be made out should violence occur? Delay until most are tired of waiting and go home even if that means an announcement at 4 in the morning. I'm sure there'd still be some rioting but probably not to the same level.
