89 mid cabin nav lights

all nav lights went out at the same time while they were on
anyone have a suggestion as to what to check first and how?

Start with looking at your fuse or breaker ( in your owners manual ) and look for loose wires on your switch to start .

what may appear to be toggle switches on your main panel are actually AIRPAX BREAKERS !

Mine went out and found the issue to be at the port and starboard nav lights. Wiring and connections burnt and shorted due to heat from the lamps. Replaced with LED nav lights and problem solved.
