Guys. I am trying to solve a problem. My boat has AC/heat along with a 110v inverter. When I am at the dock, the AIR runs off of 110v shore power. When I start the boat and unhook the shorepower, my inverter starts to output 110v. Here is the issue, the inverter is not big enough to run the Air. I could simply turn the AC on and off every time i depart and return, but I am looking for something more automatic. I would like the AC to only operate when it is plugged into shore power.
Any advice

Re: Electrical help wanted
How many A/C units and how many shore power cords are you using and if using one is it set up for 2?

Re: Electrical help wanted
permanently disconnect the a/c from the boats 110 system
have the a/c connected to a dedicated shore power line (you can y the existing if necessary)
I think that would work

Re: Electrical help wanted
didn't even think of that idea.
I am using 1 of the 2 plugs. Quick rewire would solve this
Thanks
