Larry,

Maybe this will help you visualize what I tried to describe.

Picture this track, mounted on the vertical surface on the inside of your cockpit....
Image

Roughly in this position... one on each side.

Then, in the my previous pic where you can see the framing for the cover coming down, each side of the frame has one of these on the end of it ...

and it is connects to the slider in the first pic. When the cover is up and in place, the sliders are pushed aft and locked in to position. This gives maximum headroom aft and tightens up all the canvas. When you want to go topless, loosen the lock off, slide the sliders forward, and lay the frames and wrapped canvas down on the cockpit floor or just below the aft rail.

Sorry for the picture sizes guys... from Manufacturers web site (http://www.jtstopshop.com).

Hey foofer, on a couple of my previous boats I had pretty much the same top and was able to fold it forward against the hard top to get it out of the way for fishing. Will yours do that also?

I don't think so. Have never tried to swivel it on the forward mount. I bet it would though. I wiill have to try it.
