After almost 2 months, the motor is back together and was fired up yesterday. Started right up and sounds great! With luck, she will splash next week. Check it out.............John

I just clicked on the center of the pic and it took me to video mode. About 3 seconds worth. Sounded good... from what I heard.

I see you stayed with the dual spin on oil filters and 60 psi at idle oil pressure very nice  .

Just an off topic tid-bit...

The animal depicted on the cigarette pack is actually a Dromedary (Arabian Camel.) As opposed to the two humped Camel, we think of...

New Engine Update

Post by jddens »

NEW ENGINE UPDATE......After almost 2 months with the new engine, I am happy to report that all is well. I have put about 10 hrs on the new engine and am getting ready for the first oil change. I put a new raw water pump, plugs, cap and rotor on the old motor and changed the oil. Both motors are running great. It is very good to finally have two good motors and the ability to run at 20 knots for long periods. Due to the cost of gas I still run slow and easy some too.....Sitting on the hard outside during the worst part of winter took it's toll, I have been doing much cleaning, sanding, painting, oiling, patching and filling and have her back to her former glory...........now if gas prices would come down some more. I hope everyone is having a good season so far................John
