in a conversation today with beacon bob the topic of single screw engine rotation. According to bob virtually all single screw applications use reversie rotation engines. According to him either directon will propel but for an engineering reason reverse gives better performance.

My understanding is, it was economy of scale that lead most boat builders to buy reverse rotation engines for the single screw models. I guess I could be wrong.
