With the relatively warm weather (~50 F) I was able to get some Winter projects on the boat finished this weekend.

I installed a Sea Dog stainless steel steering knob. I mounted the knob at 12 o'clock so I could tell where the rudder is without looking.

Image

I installed a new bilge pump. I was a little worried it might not fit low enough in the hollow keel but it fit perfectly. The top of the pump is even with the top of the hollow keel "trough".

Image

I mounted a fire extinguisher next to the galley.

Image

I added door knobs to the galley, underseat storage, and hanging locker doors. I used stainless steel fender washers to back them. The rubber pull strips keep coming out and I was afraid one day I wouldn't be able to get a door open.

I'm working on getting cushions with 5 inches of foam to replace the V berth cushions. My wife wants to be comfortable when we stay on the boat.

I am about to start a major project here in NY

Both motors will be getting totally rebuilt

Engine room will be painted

New gauges and switches at helm

Geni will be removed and will probably be replaced with new rather than rebuild

The boat is shrink wrapped, but I am waiting for my marina to put a zippered door in so I have access...

Paul,
Do you have the make and model number for your throttle and gear controls, I am going to be replacing mine as well before launch. I like your electronics box, one of the benefits of a hard top.

Have a bunch of projects to take care of this year, here are the major ones.
-replace saturated core on the cabin top and bow deck. Refinish non-skid
-new headliner
-new carpet for the cabin
-rebed and refinish side window frames
-rebed/refinish front window frames and replace front windows
-replace old cleats with stainless
-refinish the cockpit deck

Matt,

The controls are the "Twin S" series from Teleflex / Morse.
