Groco sea strainer baskets

I need to replace the baskets in my Groco sea strainers. The originals were Monel and have disintgrated.

They have stainless steel or plastic replacments and the cost difference is next to nothing.

I'm leaning toward the plastic because it eliminates dis-similar metals (electrolysis) that are in contact with each other in the water.

My question is which one is better?

Stainless for shure.
She was a 1969 36 ft wooden beauty with big blue 440s that we'll miss forever.

I have stainless in mine, about 10 years old, so far so good.....John

Thanks for the recomendations. Usually I don't hesitate to use stainless, in fact I prefer it in most cases.
