2013 Trojan Rendezvous on the Chesapeake Bay

Post by Kent Terry »

Will some one to step up to plate and take over The Trojan Rendezvous in the Chesapeake Bay aria ? We have had too much on my plate lately, and still do. I thought as you got older you would have more time to do things, WRONG! So I'm sending this out to let everyone know that I don't have time to do it any more. I would like to be kept in the loop, because if I can make one, I would like to go to them.

Very few from the site have been involve in this is why I would think , out the 25-30+ regulars , maybe 5-6 are on the site . Myself and 3 of them met in march to talk about doing it . But a lot has happen since then and we are unable to do so ( myself include ). But hopefully some one form the group that that has been doing it will pick it up . Some emails going around about it. So we will see

My personal feeling... is to have local venues for this.
I would recommend several different locations throughout the season, when permissible.

I would gladly put together a Potomac River rendezvous, whereas someone could perhaps run a northern to mid bay rendezvous. The latter could handle those in the upper to mid-bay area while the Potomac River could possibly handle the mid to lower bay area. We have a lot of boaters in this region.

We could have volunteers to host and schedule Trojan chapters throughout the country. This would give lots of folks, convenience to participate with other Trojan owners. With the associated fuel and maintenance costs these days, it's hard for many to simply fire up their boats and make the voyage to one specific region. This would break up that issue and allow many of us to get together on a smaller scale.

Just a thought. :)

Nothing wrong with that at all . Even if someone takes over the one that kent was doing it still is a great idea .
