Re: Question, clockwise counter clockwise motors
I replaced port motor only with original, as far as I know transmission with a FWC 318, drop in, plug and play in a RWC 1973 F32 sportfish

Re: Question, clockwise counter clockwise motors
I reread this a few times and if its the original trans being used then it would have to be the same rotatation for the trans to work unless the pump was rotated .K4282 wrote:I replaced port motor only with original, as far as I know transmission with a FWC 318, drop in, plug and play in a RWC 1973 F32 sportfish
K4282 is this the trans that came with the boat ? And if it was did you use it as is or rotate the pump ?

Re: Question, clockwise counter clockwise motors
Whatever way the engines turn the props when looked at from stern should both turn over the top to the outside of their respective side of the boat.
BTW I am not sure the intake manifolds for the 318 Chrysler are always automotive. Mine which are 3 degree slant for carby are cast MARINE on bottom. Perhaps the 11 degree slanted manifold may be pure auto. The 3 degree ones are used on vee drives and 11 on standard.
