Trojan 1983 F32

Post by Firehouse »

I have twin 360 Chrysler engines, my starboard engine start switch will not shut the engine off. Does anyone know where to get this switch? I have a cruisair a/c system which I am told there is a water valve which needs to be open to operate, can you tell me where the valve is? Are there water valves for the kitchen and bathroom sink that need to be turned on, if so where are they? the previous owner told me there were valves under the kitchen floor?

Try beacon marine for the switch , also your boat is not a runabout so you should post on the Trojan boat forum ( more traffic )

For the air, it draws its water from the lake, ocean, etc. You're looking for a seacock/valve through the hull in the bilge. There will also likely be a strainer. If you find that, it will lead you to the valve. Don't know about valves for the galley sink unless it's different on the F32 but usually there isn't unless installed by a previous owner. When you turned the water system pump on, did you here the pump running?

Post another thread here. As Paul said, there is more traffic......http://www.trojanboats.net/wforum/viewforum.php?f=1

Thank you both for your response. Big D, I did not hear the pump for the sink running when I turned on the breaker for the water pump. Is the pump automatic when you turn on the faucet?

Yes. Unless the system is already pressurized, the pump should come on as soon as you turn on the breaker and pressurize the system unless there is another water pump switch somewhere, check in the galley around the counter. Short of that, check for 12 volts at the pump with the breaker on. If voltage there, you have a siezed pump or bad pressure switch on the pump. If no voltage at the pump, likely a problem with the breaker or wiring.
