These are the bees-knees.

You can use the with the non-rubberized "water-proof" ones. You mount the track with screws and you mount the LED lights. The diffuser really softens up the light.

I purchased extruded aluminum that will hold to the wood with screw held clips. The light strip will I hope stick very good to the aluminum. Then it has a defuser strip that snaps over the leds making it one long light, any color I want depending on how much Jack Daniels I have sipped.

I found the metal tracks much cheaper at the local store 10 per meter.

They also had the waterproof ones with the silicone sleeve on the light strip, but at the time did not have the higher led count so opted for RGB/W and defuser tracks for the phoenix II.

Thanks guys. I saw those on Ebay but was unsure of the quality. I guess I can order now.

When I did the restoration of our F-32, I used the incandescent rope lights, the LED were pricey at the time and I had a 100' roll of the 12VDC ope lights left over from a work project.
It still produced a great look and feel in the boat at night

I installed the lights in the salon behind the teak valances.

Before you buy any, you need to take a look at XK glow.com. My brother-in-law told me about them, after installing them in his boat and I bought the carbon series with the controller from my phone and I love them. They have a lifetime guarantee, were much cheaper than most other brands, and I have every color you can imagine all in one strip.

These look great. How long do you think they'll last?
