Why water lift ? Where are you planning the exhaust to exit ? The reason I ask is if you plan on moving it to the stern then you could use a inline muffler I would think .

I forgot ask why changing at all ? The meter folks seem to like it

Good point on moving it aft with an inline.

Water lift sounds good and from my reading performs well

Was hoping to exist the exhaust on the side just aft of the current outlet

The reason for the change is to quiet down and reduce the exhaust vibration from the side. For some reason my exhaust ports do not sit in the water and are slightly above which is creating a 'slapping of the water' (hope that makes sense)

Thanks for the response

I own a 11m with 3208 cat engines...currently using side exhaust/sea boxes. I'm concerned that when on "a drift" seas are pushing right into enlarged exhaust holes.....I've noticed original detroit versions on this boat maintained side exhausts. Has anyone had any 'experiences' with this set up???
