1978 Trojan F36 Convertible

Post by BeaconMarineDon »

FOR SALE: 1978 Trojan F36 Convertible – Exceptional, low hours, upgrades/options, original paperwork and manuals

Hart’s Desire is a Lake Michigan-kept, USCG-registered Trojan F36 that is a shining example of one of boating history’s most popular models. A freshwater boat forever and moored in Manistee, Michigan’ Harbor Village marina for the last four years (coming from Racine, WI) she is in exceptionally good condition with approximately 670 original, very light cruising hours. Sporting a teak cockpit (an original upgrade option) and custom teak work around the cockpit, as well as a teak-and-holly sole in the galley and companionway down into the dinette and forward to the vee-birth, this Trojan really raises heads. The forward bilge, due to this model’s bow-heavy design, typically holds less than a gallon of water. The rear bilge has never had a drop of water in it in the four years I’ve owned this boat. She sleeps 6 by the master stateroom/vee-birth, convertible dinette (with privacy curtain) and pull-out sofa/sleeper in the salon. The original owner loaded this vessel with some very attractive factory options (teak cockpit, dual auxiliary fuel tanks) and did some very fine custom wood work in the rear cockpit for a one-of-a-kind look that will immediately instill a pride of ownership like no other. This boat has enjoyed indoor, heated storage for at least the last 25 years, according to the previous owner. I have maintained that storage regimen since I purchased the boat in 2012. This boat has been well-cared for and well-maintained, and has primarily been a Dock Queen the last several years. Comes with a box of original paperwork and manuals and 2012 pre-purchase marine survey.
