Blown muffler

Post by TADTOOMUCH »

Well I finally got the new distributor going and my M360’s run great in my F32. Then I noticed water coming in the bilge at a good rate. Muffler cracked and leaking water.!!

Anyone experienced this or have a repair suggestion or know where to get new muffler? Was it a difficult repair job?

Beacon may have them. If they are plastic they can not be repaired. some times f-glass ones can be but I have seen issues. best to replace it. I believe you have to lift the deck for the easiest replacement. Do you have a f-glass rear deck?

After looking at the volume of water coming out of it I will need to replace it. My back deck lifts up. Still not an easy task.
