Its not just the F36 most boats suffer from the station wagon effect , some more the others . Thats one resone I keep my salon door close under way . I read here if you open a front hatch it helps .

My CO2 detectors go off at 1/3 of the times I go out. The cabin door is always open and they tend to go off in those pesky manatee/go slow zones. I should open a hatch or window but always forget.

I read somewhere that if you put a screw in your exhaust flapper at 2 o'clock on the port side and 10 o'clock on the starboard, it will help kick the exhaust out to the side and lesson the station wagon effect. Been meaning to do that for like 4 years to see if it helps and keep forgetting.

I ALWAYS keep at least one hatch open at least a bit while underway, unless spray, rain, or waves over the bow are a problem... I am normally driving from up top so fumes underway are less of an issue, but once we stop somewhere and go below, I want to make sure the interior of the boat has been well aired.
