We took delivery of our 1975 F25 on Friday July 10th, and after a quick oil change headed off on a two week cruise of the Trent Severn system. We went from Bobcaygeon to Port Severn, and loved every minute of it (in spite of rainy cool weather on many days.) Great cruising grounds. It was gratifying to hear all the comments about our on our boat. The Trojans still stand out among all the fancy flashy new boat out on the water.

To top it off the boat ran beautifully, purred like a kitten, and took crossing wind tossed bigger lakes in solid style!

I am awaiting delivery of the boat to our home port tomorrow- can't wait to get onboard and do a few things that need attention.

Question- how do I remove the frames for the bug screens (side-windows) and replace the mesh screen? Is there a trick to getting them out or do I have to try and work around the windows? Your help is much appreciated.

i have an f32 may not be exactly the same but they shouldnt be that hard. i just replaced all my screens including my sliding door.on mine it has a inner channel for the window screen frames that is held on with small screws. just remove them and the screen comes right out. just get some new screen material at the hardware and if your careful removing the old screen then you might can reuse the splines for the new screen. if not just take a sample of the old to the hardware so you can get the correct size. cut the new screen a little larger than the frame and start at one side and force in the spline very , then go to the opposite side and repeat very simple. new screens make a world of difference in the look

I replaced the screening on our F-26 last year. On that boat the screens are removed by taking out the small metal stop that holds the screen into the frame. You can remove it by loosening the screw on the stop, taking it out and sliding the screen frame back from the window. It's flexible enough to pop the "pointy" end out of the frame and them slide the rest of the frame out. You can buy replacement screening (fiberglas is best) and spline and spline tool at the hardware store or borrow the tool from someone.

I added flexible black vinyl gutters to the top of both frames this year and elminated the nasty streaks that occur every time it rains. Windows have not had to be cleaned since the start of the season. http://www.rvgutters.com I think is the website.
