After watching a sinking & recovery this summer, I am in the market for tow (and/or salvage) insurance wondering if anyone had any preferences (and why) between Boat US towing or Seatow. I'm in Hampton Roads on the Chesapeake Bay and both have local operations.

I like staying hometown so I think I'll opt for the Seaford choice too. I heard that the recovery ended up costing $11,000! And I pretty sure there's more to that story.

There always more to the story sounds like that turned in to salvage hope they had insurance. ( towing membership won't cover that)
Towing insurance is just that towing ( and soft groundings) in a sinking salvage case . thats when your Boat insurance kicks in.

I've been with BoatUs for many years, and they do a great job. SeaTow operate a very good, professional operation here in Charleston as well. I think you will be happy with either one - its a local choice ...
