Classic 50-60's Trojan

Post by veetz »

I inherited at 1950-60's Trojan from my grandfather, which has been sitting in a barn for 30+ years. It's a 19 ft wooden outboard, but that's all the info I have at this time.

Can someone give me some recommendations on where I can get more info regarding Trojan boats of this era? My search has not yielded much, but I know there are knowledgeable people out there who cherish classic boats. My goal is to restore it.

Thanks to all.

Welcome aboard and I'm glad that you plan to restore her.

+1 on checking the runabout section of the forum and posting photos.

Are you down here in Texas, I noticed the beautiful flag on the bow of your Trojan. Several of us are in the North Texas Area. :D

She's going to turn some heads when she's done.
She was a 1969 36 ft wooden beauty with big blue 440s that we'll miss forever.

Wow. Haven't seen anything like that since I was a little kid. That trailer is an amazing period piece too. Can't wait to see the finished product.
