Getting ready to adjust the packing on a Tricabin with 255 Mercs. Does anyone know offhand what size those nuts are? I don't have large wrenches, so I'm borrowing some tools and would like to know what sizes I need.
Thanks,

On my shafts, I don't uses wrenches.
What I do is to use a hammer and hit the corners of the locking nut to loosen. Then once backed away from the adjusting nut, you can hand tighten or lightly tap the corners of the adjusting nut. Then hand tighten the lock nut and tap the corners, again to seat against the adjusting nut.

This is so much easier and faster to do then skinning your knuckles on those cheap ass wrenches that always seem to slip.

I use large round jaw Vise Grips, They work great for this, but I forget where I got them.
