How are we dealing with this issue these days?

Anyone running electric?

I deal with by running the boat as often as possible...

Not quite sure what your question is...are you asking if we're using electric pumps over mechanical? And what difference would that make for evaporation? Or...are you asking about fuel separation?

I think he is joking about fuel prices.

the real problem is not fuel evaporation but rather CASH evaporation while at the fuel docks.

Maybe Sanctuary was referring to these new electric boats

Lol !!!

I'm referring to the loss of fuel in the carburetor float bowls after the engine have not been run. (ref: 30 days)
Some say the fuel evaporates or the carburetor loses prime.

I seen a few posts where some are running electric fuel pumps. Makes it easier to prime system during start up.

I use fuel stabilizer year round and have never had a problem with fuel evaporating out of the carburetor float bowels. I prefer Startron fuel stabilizer but have used others successfully as well.

I use startron also. Engine sat for about a year. Had it running on the hard. Now testing in water.
It fired right up with starting fluid. poured a little fuel and startron down carb vent. No she is running
intermitantley on fuel. I'm getting prime back. will add more fuel to tank and keep spinning the engine.
It gets a little better each day.
