Hi ALL,

I am new to site and just purchased a 25' Trojan. I am curious to what my top speed should be on this boat. ive had it at 15 mph at 3,000 rpms and it seems to be that's all its got. it has a 351 winser motor and my prop is a 13x10 cupped. I also know it needs the bottom redone. im just curious if there's anything out there I'm missing or should try. thanks and look forward to this site.

"needs the bottom redone" that could be a big factor

I have a 351 Windsor in my Nautique swinging a 13x13. Wide open throttle is about 4800 RPM's, which is what its rated for. If you are maxing out at 3000, something is wrong. Could be fuel starvation, or believe it or not, the ignition distributor is not functioning properly.

I dunno if there are any other 351 Ford F-25 owners here, but I am sure someone can get you good specs on what top speed in their F-25 is. No matter what engine package, they should all be relatively close in performance. I can't recall, but I think the 25's all came with small blocks of one kind or another. At least, I can't ever remember seeing one with a 440 or 454.

I have an F26 flybridge with the 351 engine (MC233) it is a 1977 and 1:1 tranny.
I am swinging a cupped 14x9 and I am topping out @ 22 knots @ 4000rpm. I run about 16 knots at 3200

My bottom is cleam and paint is pretty smooth.

These models are tail heavy, so tabs are critical, along with engine performance
