what is the original wood
I am in the midst of refinishing my cockpit wood on a 1977 f-36 cant really tell what it is...some say teak some say mahogany....anyone know for sure??? I took nearly 15 coats of that ugly orange sikkens off and want to maybe oil it and varnish....anyone else??

Orginal 1977 F-36 Battery Charger- FREE
I pulled mine last year( I belive a raritan)and had a inverter/charger installed in its place.
So anyone who wants it its yours for the cost of shipping (thing probably weighs 40-60lbs) or if you want to pick it up in NYC.

I have kept mine in the last two years at World's Fair in Flushing Bay.....we have a huge tide differential and hence very rarely freeze...even at the worst this year we had only a 1/8 of an inch skin. at the docks and only an inch from the shore out...so my bubbler has not even seen the water yet....

Has anyone had any experience with or heard anything about Poly-Glo coatings? I'm looking for something to bring the shine back to the old girl's hull that will last ( at least 12 months?) without having to rewax every 3-4 months. Any other ideas? That looks like a fun trip. Been to NYC so many times only to end-up looking out at the water. If I don't get to do the great loop and/or cruise the Med. before I leave this world there will be a ghost that likes to bother those who have had the chance! \ Next time your here the cruise is on me!......
