In my 1977, there is one hull drain and it's under the floor in the v-birth.

Re: TriCabin Aft Hatch Seal

My salon windows were leaking when I purchased the boat and the main problem were the drain holes in the bottom of the tracks were all plugged which was solved by using the shop vac in the tracks and then poking the holes open with a small rod of the appropriate size. Also the screws in the outside ...

Re: New to Trojan boats and forun

Welcome Kenflyer... good boat choice. If you're like me you will enjoy the slow relaxing cruising on the tri-cabin and the overnight stays. Ours is a 1977. Since most of these boats are older, you will also find that they require ongoing tinkering and fixing... like a big kid's "busy box"....

I saw this boat on ebay awhile back and was so impressed I had to compliment the guy on the boat even though I wasn't going to buy it. I love the color especially and the restoration is the best.

What a great gathering especially the scenery... looks soooooo nice compared with the steel mills, casino boats, and other forms of ugly we have here on Lake Michigan where the water is always rough and unfriendly. Our marina has become mostly a place for all drunks to sit on the pier and play their...

They are putting my newly-rebuilt carbs back on today, installing the three new batteries, reconnecting all of the fresh water system and pressure testing it, and tomorrow at 1pm CDT she goes splash! This has been an expensive winter season so hopefully I won't find too many more things that need t...

good morning K9th... That's my favorite speed for easy afternoon for cruising... as I recall that would be about 15-1600 rpm for me. By the way if we meet up on the lake somewhere this season, we just finished changing the name of the boat. The old name wasn't chosen by us, it just came with the boa...

Only if you are running at or below 'hull speed' (= 1.34 x square root(water line length)). That is as fast as you can push through water without the boat trying to climb on top of it (ie plane). Hull speed is the fastest you can go without starting to burn power trying to also lift. I don't have t...
