Re: Farewell To A Beautiful Lady
I am sorry to hear the news, but I get it - sometimes it's just the right thing to do. I went through the same thing when it was time to give up my father's old '69 28' Sea Skiff, that he had for almost 25 years.

Re: Wide Open Throttle
If you get different results depending on upper or lower station, you likely have a cable or throttle lever issue. I believe you should be able to hit 4200 RPM with the 360s (same engines as in my '79 - but don't recommend you run at that RPM for long!). Check cables as has already been said, and an...

Re: F32 Vibration Briefly in Reverse
TAD... I have the same thing. Cavitation is probably the cause. When I am idling forward and shift both into reverse, or idling forward and shift one into reverse to make a turn in a tight quarters, I get a bit of vibration / rattling for a few seconds. If I reverse from a stopped position, or when ...

Re: Interesting Trojan Story
Woah .... looking at this post it's a much longer response than I intended, but hopefully helpful and worth it!!! Want to steer this back to Jes2309's original concerns - the F32 can handle Lake Ontario just fine unless it is really snotty. The lake is not that bad most of the time. Don't know what ...

Re: fuel burn
I have 360s and not the 318's. At 1500rpm I get about 8 knots, and get about 1.5mpg. "Your mileage may vary".

Re: water flow
Not clear if you are talking about raw water pump or circulation pump... Raw water pumps can run in either direction - just make sure the impellers are installed with vanes ‘squashed’ in the right direction for the expected rotation. Can try to give you a picture/diagram of expected flow setup / hos...

Re: 36ft Trogan tricabin new owner
Yes it's in Lewes Delaware like I said am going to take her out on a few runs before I start the trip to check it out and make sure all is operating right now my problem taking the route you suggest is the distance it would add over 100 miles distance so more wear on everything granted there is the...

So how are you 'locking' them closed now? Are you using the old slide clip but just glass on glass - and doesn't that mess with your weatherstripping?

Re: water tank
I'm in similar 'boat' (pun intended!). Have always winter stored indoors, but 2-3 years in a heated storage facility and the plywood tank top has contracted enough to break the seal with the lower tank. Tried using an epoxy to seal all leaks a year ago, but this spring its leaking again... Can try t...

Re: Bottom Paint
Can't comment on the epoxy barrier, but I can do my F32 with less than a gallon of CSC per coat. Haven't done a full coat for years - think only once since I switched to CSC 10-15 years ago (and more out of vanity than anything else - wanted the bottom to look a more consistent colour -- not that th...

Re: Hydraulic Rudder Control or lack there of
I'm a little confused... hydraulic steering is hydraulic... not pneumatic... If you are talking about issues with some separate auto pilot system then so be it, but if you are trying to fix a hydraulic steering system, why are you pumping air into it? Maybe I missed some key point in a post. As othe...
