10 Meter Express accessory power

Post by SOHA-10Meter »

Hello all,

First time posting, but I wanted to thank everyone for the forum. I have read a ton over the last few years and now have a new to me 1990 10 Meter Express.

I have a few questions but I will try to keep it short.

1. I am looking for the best place to get 12 volt accessory power. I know that I have two accessory switches on the dash but where do they terminate?

2. I am not seeing a battery disconnect switch. Has the previous owner changed something or did the boat not have one originally?

Thanks in advance for the help,

Eric

Trojan was not big on battery switches I would add them. ( I did on mine) I can't remember if the switches terminate at a block or the switch. Check you, owners, manual wiring diagram

There are likely numerous changes over the years from when Ron Pickle, (R.I.P.) originally did the factory wiring diagrams.

Dunno how many amps you seek to use for the accessory.

STRONGLY SUGGEST you procure the correct factory wiring diagram for your specific boat as identified by the hull number.

Contact Bob Cushman at Beacon Marine for all the juicy details.

Thanks again for the replies.

I need power for fish finders, GPS, and my downriggers.

I think I will run dedicated power to a junction box and add power cut off switches while I am at it.

Blue Seas makes some really nice quality circuit breaker/fused DC distribution panels that can easily be mounted on the helm.
