i am not familiar with the boating laws of Maryland. i would like to buy this boat and restore it, and enjoy it. i was just not sure that if it had a salvage title if it would be worth buying. i don't know what the title says yet, but i will find out. i was down to see it today and i believe it is worth restoring. is there someplace that i could get an owners manual? thank you for your help.

That would be a great project. Owners manuals are available. For anything you need for it call Beacon Marine. He can tell you anything you want to know about that boat.

Most boats, even when totaled by an insurance company still have clean titles.

Was it fresh or salt water ? How long was it down for? If it was fresh you may get lucky if they pickled the engines. But you may still have to do the transmissions and replace some wiring from corrosion. Its still cheap enough either way.

The boat went down in salt water just enough to cover the engines, he claims the boat was down for just a couple of hours. He said that he flushed the engines with kerosene right away, is this "pickling"? The port engine runs, but the starboard engine needs a gear on the end of the distributer replaced.

I bought an F36 off this guy myself. Had been sunk. It was sitting across the pier from the one you looked at. He is a dealer and does all the title work and registration for you, at least he did mine. He is not much for conversation but seems to be a straight forward guy. At least with me that is. Good Luck.
