Heat/Ac control panel for '89 11 meter express?

Post by Rnd »

1989 11 Meter Express HACV control panel located in galley doesn't work.(so I'm told) Can this be repaired or even replaced by passed?? Knowing that parts for Trojans only are scarce to say the least what would do if you needed one??

Thanking you in advance.

P.S. We are getting very close :D

Trojan did not make the control . Most likely it is a cruse-air and you should have no problem getting a replacement. It should have the name on it .

is it the 3 knob controls ? I got some your neck of the woods this yr. I'll get the name of the Co. and post it today, they sold them one part at a time (each pc.) or the whole thing.

before i would spend any money on the old 3 knob i would consider a digital control. set it on the temp you want and done. the 3 knob you have to guess at the temp and mine was all over the place, wifes too hot then to cold, digital is the only way to go.
i've reposted from one my earlier ones

heres what i put on my f32 last year and has worked perfect took about 15 minutes to wire/install simple simple. prices may be different but should still be in the ballpark
here a picture you can see it installed in my boat

+1 on the FX-1.
Very easy to install and it does so much more than the 3 knob unit.... and the customer support is first class!

Thanks guys. That makes sense Trojan didn't make the part. I'll check the name. That fx-1 sounds like a good idea as well.

Thanks g36........ we were just wondering this weekend if we could replace our 3 knob with a digital. The temp was all over the place.
