you know what the real crime is?

Only you and a handful of people really know how much work you're doing. I think about how much I've done the past three years and it's not anywhere near what you've undertaken....

and even my wife doesn't really remember how the boat looked the first day we got it.

When you've got your hands on everything you remember all the details for sure....

You guys are an inspiration to us all. What was the condition of the boat when bought it? My wife and I have the exact same 10 Meter and replaced one of the stringers today after noticing some rotted wood while we had the starboard engine out. Only 12 hours of work. I wish I would have taken pictures like you have...no one knows how much work this really is. Only had her out a few times last year due to some issues with water getting into the gas and too many other things to list...but still lovin it. Hopefully we'll be in the water in 2-3 weeks! I hope you guys are getting close. Take care.

Took a few weeks off from working on the boat to get a few other things done. Just got a letter from my insurance company reminding my that I need an insurance survey completed before my june 2013 preimum payment is submitted. Thirteen month deadline to get everything completed or I need to pay off my loan which is enough to buy a small car!!! GAME ON! TIME TO GET MOTIVATED AGAIN!!!!!!LOL

Interior bilge now has two coats of white bilge paint! started cleaning up some of the sea strainers with a brass wheel on the bench grinder. Fabricated a shelf for the forward bilge to mount the water pump, shower sump and macerater on. Put one coat of epoxy on the shelf to seal it and will install it along with the water tank next. Then the fun part of replacing the holding tank hoses!! for the second time! (did it when I first bought the boat). Still a long way to go but I'm headed in the right direction!

powder is cheaper and stronger by far! just find someone with a good name. preperation and Baking it, is the key!! I threw a motorcycle strut across my driveway while learning powder coat and the marks rubbed off. A painted strut with the same toss had to be repaired  Gotta test your work some how! :P

Well last week was a productive / expensive week! Recieved the +- $1800 worth of parts I ordered! Nothing like spending over $550 for vacuflush Head parts!!! The head worked fine but needed a new pressure switch on the acculator tank. I had replaced most of the hoses when I purchased the boat so I figured, "What the Hell!" since we just painted the forward bilge, why not tear out all the hoses and spill "hose slop" everywhere! Then we removed every part of the the entire system out including the head itself. Had my guys clean the bilge  while I tore apart and cleaned the vacum pump, accumulater tank and head. Replaced the duck bill valves, bellows, bellows ring. sanded, cleaned and painted the electric motor, replaced all the o-rings and put the pump back together. Put a new pressure shut off on the tank, put a new flush ball, seals and spring in the head! Everything is rebuilt and sitting on the bench waiting to be re-installed with the new hoses after the new coat of bilge paint dries. The 20ft of brand new 1-1/2 fuel line is laying on top the tanks on the floor of my shop. ran new water tank fill line, new water tank vent line, new water tank supply line, new AC water supply line, new shower sump discharge line, and a new forward bilge pump line.
We glassed in all to the mounting tabs for the cabin floor. Created access hatches through the floor to get to everything, pulled the floor out again and got the first coat of polyurthane paint on the top and bottom of the floor.
Sorry for the lack of pictures but I haven't stopped long enough to take any! LOL

Hi Todd,

sounds like you are moving forward towards having a reliable boat !

I did the same on my sanitation system during the refit.

Also reloacted some of the components in the engine room for better ergonomics and used Starboard to do it.

After replacing 3 macerators in 4 years I decided to use a vacuum pump instead.

So, now I have TWO identical diaphragm pumps on the sanitation system.

WORKS GREAT and works EVERY TIME Well worth the difference.

Looking forward to your photos.

If any of you guys need Fuel fill hose, shoot me an email. I know I have enough to do both tanks on a mid cabin, both the long pieces and the straight up and down to each fill. I bought WAY too much.

Todd, while you have the boat all ripped apart... great time to add some continous ventilation in the bilge with a computer fan. I added another one a few months back cabinet over the stove top. I have the switch up at the helm and flip it when I leave. The one in the bilge is never shut off.
Between these two fans and the Nicro in the forward hatch the boat is probably over ventilated. I think I might reverse the Nicro so it's sucking air in and let the cabinet fan be the output.

I can shoot some video of both if you want me to post it.

Bob,

the ventilation fans are interesting, especially when you consider the heat thrown off of those engines after a run.

A/C has to wqork extra hard to get rid of the extra radiant heat.

How much air do those fans really move and...

what about ignition protection?

Bob, I'd love to see how you set them up. I was thinking of putting a bilge blower in the forward bilge to air things out but I couldn't run it all the time. Bob I wanted to thank you again for the spare parts/extras you gave me awhile back. One of my acculator mounts was cracked but thanks to you I have an extra to replace it !

My original fuel fills were 1-7/8 which were crazy expensive (+- $58 per foot!!!) and not necessary. went with 1-1/2 and was planning to replace the deck fittings anyway.

RWS, I have only used the macerator one time since I've owned the boat (replaced that one with the current one LOL!) I thought about doing away with it but its nice to have just in case.
