Sherwood E35 pump question

Post by AndyF32 »

Is 1/16 to 3/32 of radial movement on a sherwood E35 pump reason for a full rebuild kit? Both pumps have about the same amount of play and the bearings seem to spin fine.

Thanks in advance for the help.

If the bearing sounds ok ,not a dry sound or rumble then you should be ok a this pump uses a single ball bearing . the shaft goes in to the rear cover/bushing that stabilizes the shaft . If your not sure the bearing is only about $20 , so it not a big deal .

Thanks for the reply. I will install new impellers in the spring and look at them again in a couple of years.
